Meet Benjamin Meyer, LCSW
I’m a bilingual psychotherapist — also fluent in Spanish — who specializes in helping couples and individuals overcome their learning differences so that they can better manage workplace challenges, relationships, and the complexities of everyday life.
I received my certification in psycho-dynamic psychotherapy from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. I’m also a graduate of the Ackerman Institute for the Family in its couples and family therapy training program.
I am also a certified neurodiverse couples therapist from the Association for Autism and Neurodiversity, and I am a certified neurodiversity sexuality professional from the Modern Sex Therapy Institute.
My initial interest in psychotherapy stemmed from my international experience providing trauma relief to victims of the Salvadoran Civil War and Chilean dictatorship.
I also have experience providing culturally competent individual, couple, and family psychotherapy to Spanish speaking clients of all ages.
My office is located in Teaneck, New Jersey, approximately 15 miles from Manhattan. I also offer online services via Simple Practice, a secure online portal and electronic documentation service. Please feel free to review my website for any information that interests you.
I’m honored that you’re here and taking the steps to understand yourself more deeply. As a psychologist who has been in practice for over a decade, I feel confident in my treatment approach and my ability to connect with people regardless of their age, gender, sexual orientation, or relationship status.
We are all human, and I love connecting on a human-to-human level with clients. I have a “come as you are” approach to therapy and life. All parts of you are welcome in my therapy space. I hope to collaborate with you so that we can curiously and openly explore the parts of you that need understanding, honoring, and respect while teaching you how to help yourself in the process. I see it like emptying a puzzle box and exploring how the pieces fit together and what stories those pieces want to share to be understood.
I believe and feel that my soul’s work is to help people discover and reconnect with who they are meant to be. Then, we can help the authentic version of you, Thrive!
